Council Meetings

Town meetings are usually scheduled for the second Wednesday of each month starting at 7:00 p.m. and are always open to the public. However, meeting dates are occasionally changed due to conflicts with other activities or events. Please see our Events Calendar for actual meeting dates.

Garbage Collection

Garbage is collected every Tuesday. Please make sure your garbage is tagged and available for pickup by 9:00am. Only tagged garbage will be picked up, each bag has to have a tag! Garbage tags can be purchased at the town office.

As of Nov 3, 2009 all garbage is only picked up from the front (street) at the curb.

Garden refuge is not to be dumped in alley ways! Garden refuge has to be bagged as well as grass clippings & leaves for free pick up.



Landfill

Notes:

  • All items must be deposited in the correct location (bagged garbage goes in the pit, asphalt shingles in the shingle pile, scrap metal and appliances at the scrap metal pile, wood and compost material in the wood pile, etc.). Please ask the site supervisor if you are not sure where to put something.
  • Household bagged garbage must be tagged.
  • Computers and electronic equipment are not allowed at the landfill. Those items must be brought to SARCAN. The nearest SARCAN locations are Assiniboia and Coronach.
  • Tires are not allowed at the landfill.
  • Old fridges & deep freezes will only be accepted if tagged that the freon has been removed.
  • There is no charge for wood, trees, branches, and compost material.

For residents of the Town of Willow Bunch only to bring stuff for free so you may clean up your yards. Please note that does not include household garbage! Household bagged garbage must be tagged as usual and all regular landfill rules apply.

This is a good time to get of rid yard rubbish, scrap metal, old vehicles, old appliances, etc. For Free! Please note that old fridges & deep freezes will only be accepted if tagged that the freon has been removed. Absolutely no electronics allowed or old tires allowed at the landfill.



Dogs

All dogs must be tied up at all times not in an enclosed fence. They are not to be running at large. When walking your dog it has to be on a leash and bring a baggy with you in case your dog does "His/Her Business", so you can pick it up!.
